Technique Number 2 - TAPPING THE PORN CRAVINGS AWAY

WHAT DO I DO?

  1. When you are craving for porn and masturbation, first notice how strong is your craving and rate it on a scale of 1 to 10.

  2. Now take two fingers of either hand and tap about ten times under your collarbone while you continue to think about your craving.

  3. Now tap under your eye ten times.

  4. Now tap under your collarbone again.

  5. Place your other hand in front of you and tap on the back of it between your ring finger and your little finger.

  6. Continue to think about your porn craving as you do this and each of the steps that follow. Keep tapping, keeping your head still, close your eyes and open them, look down to the right and then to the left. Rotate your eyes around 360 degrees clockwise and then counterclockwise. Now hum the first few lines of your favorite song out loud. Count out loud from 1 to 5. Once again hum the first few lines of your favorite song out loud.
  7. Stop and check-on a scale from 1 to 10, what number is your craving at now?

  8. If the craving hasn't completely gone yet, just repeat this sequence again until it does. It may take as many as two or even three times before you have completely eliminated the craving.

  9. If it ever comes back, you can repeat this process as often as required.

WHY DO I DO IT?

Dr. Roger Callahan, author of “Tapping the Healer Within” developed the tapping technique, it is a simple way to reduce or even eliminate your cravings under a minute.

When you quit porn and masturbation you will be constantly bombarded with triggers and cravings. But with this technique, you will be able to switch them off at will. When you start your journey towards being porn free, you might have to tap your cravings away almost a dozen times on the day one. But day by day, the cravings will reduce, and you will end up tapping just once or twice a day. After only a few days of practice, you would have mastered your cravings.

This process might seem strange, but it works. Before you start this process, it is important that you read through the steps so that you know what you must do. And it is very important that you continue thinking about your cravings as you go through this process. You might find it helpful if you rate your craving on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 the highest before and after this process to gauge its effectiveness. The code for any craving is stored like a computer program in your brain. By thinking about your craving while tapping on each point in exactly in the above-mentioned sequence you will reset your brain's operating software to bypass your cravings, so you can easily get on with your life.
